This section is just to let you know what we use to make our prints, click menu above for more information.
Currently (August 2009) we have one Epson 7800 and two Epson 4800 printers. We have two 48's for one reason only and that would be the lack of both photo black and matte black in the same printer. This forced us to buy two, so that we didn't have to swap ink cartridges and purge the system on every swap. An ink swap costs about about $75 per time. Hopefully Epso improves on their cartridge design and add both cartridges to the one printer like they have in the 7990.
We have looked at both the new Canons and HP professional series large printers. I think Canon has a lot to offer and their new printers are a different breed, but just like we are Nikon people we at this stage will remain loyal to Epson.
We believe the New Epson printers coming out are a cut above the rest and we love the variety and quality of Epson media.
That said, it's like the war between Nikon and Canon users, it's a personal choice.
